The association

Our history

For a long time, we had been a group of friends who regularly ran at weekends in the parks and woods of western Paris.

After a few years, running for running's sake and keeping fit was no longer enough to motivate us to keep up the pace.
In 2003 came the terrible news. After the various examinations carried out when Solann was 6 months old, the doctors' diagnosis was clear: "Little Solann will never be able to run or even walk like other children".
The idea then germinated in the minds of some of us to defy fate and, despite everything, get Solann involved in activities that were not accessible to him.

And so it was that Solann has been hurtling down snow-covered slopes on a little sled since he was a toddler.
Then, in October 2006, Solann tried his hand at running, taking part in the Vallée de l'espoir race organized by the Meudon Lions Club on behalf of theassociation Dune d'espoir.

This event was a revelation for Solann's carers. The joy and happiness shared with the handicapped children were out of all proportion to all the volunteer work we had done on our own.
A slogan was born: "Are you walking? NO! I'm running".

And so it was that, depending on the motivations and opportunities of the moment, the Dream Team took part in a number of other events (see the Events section).

Encouraged by the growing number of participants in Dream Team races, and building on the enthusiasm of previous events, we decided to give our actions a statutory framework and created the association of the same name in December 2010. Our aim is to broaden the scope of our activities with appropriate resources.
